Collegiates Cultural Club
First ever government school level cultural club in Bangladesh.
CHATTOGRAM COLLEGIATE SCHOOL
Collegiates Cultural Club was established on 24 August 2017 at Chattogram Collegiate School, mostly known as the “Red Fort” of Chattogram. Chattogram Collegiate School is a government educational institution in Chittagong, the port city in Bangladesh. It provides education from 5th to 10th grade. Established in 1836, it is one of the oldest and one of the best educational institutes in the country. In 2016 Chattogram Collegiate School celebrated its 180 years of establishment.
COLLEGIATES CULTURAL CLUB
In order to keep in trend with modern educational norms, co-curricular activities have become a must now for acquiring skills along with academic qualifications. Consequently, some enthusiastic and optimistic students of Chattogram Collegiate School took the initiative of founding such an organization that will encourage students to express their creative genius and give them an opportunity by providing a platform, especially in cultural sites. And thus, in 2017, Collegiates Cultural Club was founded.
Faculties of Collegiates Cultural Club
From the very beginning of our journey, we have concentrated on encouraging students to take part in cultural activities in order to build them according to their particular interest in cultural sites. Moreover, it’s also a process of interaction with ideas, thoughts, and knowledge among the learners or talents. Consequently, at present, we are dealing with 6 faculties.
Art and Photography
Art is a diverse range of human activities involving the creation of visual, auditory, or performing artifacts, which express the creator’s imagination, conceptual ideas, or technical skill, intended to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Photography is the art, application, and practice of creating durable images by recording light, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.
Music
Music is an art form, and a cultural activity, whose medium is sound. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch, rhythm, dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture.
Literature
Literature broadly is any collection of written work, but it is also used more narrowly for writings specifically considered to be an art form, especially prose fiction, drama, and poetry.
Recitation
Recitation is a presentation made by a student to demonstrate knowledge of a subject or to provide instruction to others. In some academic institutions, the term is used for a presentation by a teaching assistant or instructor, under the guidance of a senior faculty member, that supplements course materials.
Drama and Videography
Drama is the specific mode of fiction represented in performance: a play, opera, mime, ballet, etc., performed in a theatre, or on radio or television. Considered as a genre of poetry in general, the dramatic mode has been contrasted with the epic and the lyrical modes ever since Aristotle’s Poetics (c. 335 BC)—the earliest work of dramatic theory
Speech and Presentation
A speech presentation is publicly speaking to an audience with the intent to inform, demonstrate, explain, or persuade. The presentation is normally written, then performed, and includes an introduction, a body consisting of main focal points, and a conclusion.
